Nutritional Counseling

Most of the women who enter our substance abuse programs have not paid close attention to their health or nutritional needs. There is a direct correlation between the quality of your health and your recovery from substance abuse. To help you achieve optimum health, our licensed nutritionist meets with each woman and designs a healthy eating plan based upon her nutritional history and current nutritional needs.

Recovery Residences

Different than most substance abuse programs, the Women's Center for Healthy Living recognizes that relapse generally occurs when a woman is not properly prepared for her return home. In many cases, due to domestic violence or physical or sexual trauma, a return to her home environment is counterproductive. As one of the only substance abuse programs in the United States to design our own recovery residences, we provide women the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned in substance abuse treatment while remaining in a supportive environment. Our recovery residence also provides every patient with time to formulate a healthy, recovery oriented discharge plan.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Dual diagnosis treatment is the treatment of substance abuse and a co-existing psychiatric disorder or eating disorder such as:
